What are your standard fees for an individual?

$100.00 including GST in total for first visit (usually one and a half hours), next visits $100.00 per hour including GST.

What are your standard fees for couples counselling and/or family counselling?

$120.00 including GST in total for first visit (usually one and a half hours), next visits $120.00 per hour including GST.

Where is your office located?

Marcia’s office is located in the heart of Duncan at 331 St. Julien Street. Marcia has provided service for clients from Victoria,  Mill Bay, Duncan, Crofton, Chemainius, Ladysmith, Cowichan Lake, Nanaimo and others.

What are your standard hours?

Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Earlier or later hours may be arranged.

What are your qualifications?

Marcia has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has completed additional training:  Emotional Regulation in Couples Therapy, Rebuilding Intimacy After an Affair, Addictions, Response-Based Therapy for Trauma, Critical Incident Debriefing, Crime Victim Assistance, Resolving Depression and Anxiety, and Brief Solution-focused Therapy.

How much experience do you have?

Marcia has over  22 years of experience counselling youth and adult clients with career, employment and personal issues.

Is counselling covered under any plan that I may have?

Marcia provides private counselling, and is a provider for several Employee Assistance Program agencies, Victim Services, ICBC, and some insurance and benefits companies. Please check with your benefits provider that they will reimburse for Registered Clinical Counsellors.

What is the difference among various counselling designations?

In order of some of  the  higher to lower in training/qualifications are the following: Psychiatrist (Dr.), Psychologist (PhD/Dr.), Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), Canadian Professional Counsellor (CPC). Marcia is an R.C.C.
